Baltimore Ravens: Ed Reed Is The Only Player On Baltimore's Injury Report

The Baltimore Ravens will be strong when they move into Gillette Stadium this weekend to meet the New England Patriots for the NFC Championship game. The Ravens exited the week of practice with just 1 player on the damage statement - Ed Reed.

The Ravens safety was injured on the last defensive play last week-end against the Houston Texans but the ankle won't keep him out of Sunday's game. Reed is listed as probable and is expected to participate against the Patriots.

The big injury talk this week over in New England has been Tom Brady. The Patriots quarterback missed practice on Wednesday but he returned for Thursday and Friday and has been detached from the injury report.

Ed Reed's importance in Sunday's AFC championship match can't be diminished. The New England Patriots consider that even with Reed hobbling a bit they have a challenge from the Baltimore Ravens' all-star safety.

Reed was limited in practice early in the week after injuring his left ankle on the last play of the Ravens' victory over the Houston Texans when, as usual, he had a hand in a game-deciding play.
